Obituary of Betty Woodell

Betty C. Wagner Woodell, age 86, of Millcreek Twp., passed away Sunday, February 23, 2014 at Golden Living Center-Walnut Creek surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 28, 1927, in Owego, NY, the daughter of the late John and Ethel McIntyre Wagner. She was employed at the Boston Store and retired from Kaufmann's Dept. Store. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, and sewing. Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Donald M. Woodell in 2009, three sisters: Hazel O'Grady, Mary LaPort, and Esther Buryanek, two brothers; John and William Wagner. She is survived by two daughters, Sharon A. Allen (Ashley) of Brockport, NY, Donna L. May (James) of Millcreek Twp., two sons; Glenn K. Woodell (Kathi) of Rome, OH, Scott A. Woodell (Leslie) of Millcreek Twp., nine grandchildren: Deanna L. Thomas of Phoenix, Robert J. Dann (fiancé, Andrea McGraw) of Erie, Michael J. Dann (fiancé, Sierra Dorman) of Mesa, AZ, Timothy J. Dann of Erie, Kristen L. May of Laurel, MD, Kevin J. May, of Millcreek, Jesse H. Woodell of Pittsburgh, PA, Abby M. Woodell and Samuel N. Woodell both of Millcreek, four great-granddaughters: Candace M. Erhart of Phoenix, Aubree Dann of Conneaut Lake, PA, Ivy Thome of Mesa, AZ, Hailey Dann of Erie, four great-grandsons: Jonathan, Alexander, and Logan Dann all of Erie, and Drecklyn Dann of Mesa, AZ, one sister, Helen Dimick of Owego, NY, and niece, Darlene Carriero, of Buffalo and many other nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Tuesday (today) from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and are invited there on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. for the funeral service.
