Obituary of Samuel Ferraro

Sam Ferraro, age 75, of McKean Twp., passed away at his residence on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Plumville, PA on December 10, 1938, the son of the late Frank and Ethel Yates Ferraro. He was a graduate of McKean H.S. Sam served in the Army and National Guard Reserves. He was employed at and retired from Coyne Textile Services after 37 years of employment. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, car racing, and camping. Sam is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sandra J. Lyons Ferraro, three sons; Kevin Ferraro of McKean, Michael Ferraro of Columbia, MD, Richard Ferraro (Natalie) of Lake City, three daughters; Rebekah Caldwell (Gary) of Pittsburgh, Sarah Jablonski (Jeff) of McConnellsville, SC, Ruth Peters of Erie, seven grandchildren: Allison, Samantha, Madison, Dominic, Adrienne, Troy, Mason, one sister, Ethel Stivers (Ken) of Erie and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister, Jane Anthony, three brothers: Frank, Jr., Fred, and John Ferraro. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Thursday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and are invited to Erie First Assembly of God, 8150 Oliver Rd., Erie, PA 16509 on Friday at 11:00 a.m. for the funeral service. Private entombment at Erie County Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the McKean Hose Company, PO Box 241, McKean, PA 16426 or to Erie First Assembly of God.
