Obituary of Ann Burns

Ann W. Burns, age 78, of Fairview Twp., passed away Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Manchester Commons. Ann was born in Somerset, Pa. on February 18, 1936, the daughter of the late Earl and Mary Knepper Weimer. She had been employed at the family business, Burns Manufacturing. She was a member of St. Michaels-Traditional R.C. Church. Ann enjoyed gardening and her cats.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James F. Burns, one sister, Helen Leer, and one brother, Bill Weimer.
She is survived by four children: Andrew Burns (Jean), Susan Harris (Steve), Mary White (Alan) and David Burns, six grandchildren: Nicholas, James, Emily, Daniel, Regina, and James, four brothers: Fred, David, Jay, and Joe Weimer, many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Monday (today) from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to St. Michaels-Tradition R.C. Church, 6366 West Lake Rd. on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. for the Funeral Service. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Michaels-Traditional R.C. Church or the American Heart Association, 823 Filmore Ave., Erie, PA 16505.
