Obituary of Ann Sokolowski

Ann M. Sokolowski, age 77, of Millcreek Twp., passed away Saturday, March 22, 2014 at her residence.
She was born on December 20, 1936 in Union City, PA the daughter of the late, G. Neil Alford and Anna Nelson Alford. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Sokolowski in 1999, two brothers; John and R. Neil Alford, and three sisters: Hazel Colburn, Norma Gordon, and Mary Anderson.
She is survived by one daughter, Judy Smith (Thomas) of Dale, TX, one son, Michael Sokolowski (Kari) of Erie, two brothers; Nelson Alford (Ruth) of Post Falls, ID, Robert Alford (Ellen) of Erie, one sister, Martha Williamson of Union City, one granddaughter, Sheila Moreno (Robert) and one grandson, Chad Painter (Shannon) along with seven great-grandchildren.
Ann attended school in Union City and was a graduate of the Vo-Tech beautician school in 1979.
She was employed at Elgin Labs, Erie Resister, J.C. Penney's, and the Erie Center on Health and Aging. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church.
No public visitation will be observed. She will be buried at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
Arrangements are being handled by the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd.
