Obituary of Lloyd Hickey

Lloyd F. Hickey, Jr., age 71, of McKean Twp. passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at UPMC - Hamot surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Erie on September 14, 1942 the son of the late Lloyd F. and Ruth Dennison Hickey, Sr. He was a nine year US Air Force veteran serving in Japan, England, Thailand, Korea and the states. He retired from General Electric in 2001. Lloyd attended Trinity Lutheran Church and was an avid Cleveland Browns and Indians fan and enjoyed Notre Dame football and NASCAR. He was preceded in death by one brother, Lyle T. Hickey, one sister, Patricia Ann Comeau and a great niece, Victoria Bowen. Lloyd is survived by his wife of forty years, Jane Schuetz Hickey, one daughter, Marcia "Marcie" Hickey Hilinski (Nicholas "Nick") of Erie, one sister, Margaret "Peggy" Rood (Howard) of Fairview, sisters-in-law, Joanne Hickey of FL, Vera Schuetz Bowen (Robert), one brother-in-law, Byron Schuetz (Sonja) of McKean Twp., niece, Rebecca "Becky" Crays (Kurt), nephews: Chad Rood (Laura), Jason Rood (Sherri), Kirk Stephenson (Cindy), Karl Stephenson (Kristi), Kent Stephenson, James Comeau, Jeffrey Schuetz (Cathy), Scott Schuetz (Phuong), his aunt, Ginny Hickey of Erie, a special cousin, Mary Holland (Ken) of Erie and many other nieces, nephews, and cousins. Private visitation, services, and interment will be held at the convenience of the family under the direction of the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd.
