Obituary of Geraldine Sibley

Geraldine E. "Gerry" Hinkle Sibley, age 90, of Fairview Twp. formerly of Wesleyville, passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at Manchester Commons. She was born on December 2, 1923, the daughter of the late Merle and Dorothy Ramer Hinkle. She was a graduate of Fairview H.S. and was captain of her basketball team. She was employed at Lords and Erie GE until her retirement.
Gerry enjoyed bowling, golfing, and hunting with her husband and their favorite beagle, Patty.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Barrett Sibley, three brothers: Emerson, Amos, and Curtis Hinkle, four sisters: Marion Christiansen, Hazel Hinkle, Gloria Skwaryk, and Baby Lucy. Gerry is survived by one brother, John E. Hinkle (Shirley) of Harborcreek, two sisters; Shirley E. Hinkle Grace Wagner (Arthur) of Millcreek Twp., Carol J. Hinkle Gregory (David) of Fairview, a special cousin, Marjorie E. Wagner of Erie and several other cousins.
Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Sunday from 4 until time of service there at 7:00 p.m. Private interment Erie County Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Human Society of NW PA, 2407 Zimmerly Rd., Erie, PA 16506, ANNA Shelter, 1555 East 10th Street, Erie, PA 16511, or to Orphan Angels Cat Sanctuary, 5439 West Lake Rd., Erie, PA 16505.
