Dear Family, My name is Bill Passauer. My family lived on Imperial St. In Oil City from about 1945 until 1953. During that time, Bob was my FIRSTS and only friend. While I was only 1-9 years old at that time, Bob was 4 years older than me. What a 10 year old would have anything to do with 6 year old is a good question. One reason, I guess, was that there weren't many kids on our block back then. Bob and his sister Paline (sp) lived right across the street from us. Our street always just dirt at the time which made it great in the winter for sled riding as the dirt didn't hold the heat to melt the snow. Our family moved away when my grandmother died and I never saw Bob again, although I wondered a lot about my first frind over the years. Then, just a few years ago, Bob found my email address on a website I built, www.OilCityPA.net, and wrote me an email. I believe I phoned him and we had a lovely long talk. It was great to reconnect with my friend over all those years and catch up. I was thinking of him again when his obituary showed up in my mail. What a shock. You have my deepest condolences for the loss of Bob. He was a very good friend, and my first. Bill Passauer
