Obituary of Willis Fitzgerald

Willis Glenn Fitzgerald, Jr., age 86, of Millcreek Twp., passed away on Monday, November 10, 2014 at Saint Vincent Hospital. He was born in Warren, PA on November 14, 1927, the son of the late Willis G. and Grace V. Keirnan Fitzgerald, Sr. He graduated from the Starbrick Grade School, where he became an Eagle Scout. Willis was a graduate of Warren High School. He was a veteran, having served with the U.S. Air Force during the Berlin Air Lift and the Korean Conflict. Willis had been employed with Smith Meter, retiring in 1991. He was a member of the Fairview American Legion Post 492 and was a life member of the V.F.W. Post 470. He enjoyed time spent down in the mountains, hunting and fishing. Willis also enjoyed building model airplanes. Preceded in death by two sisters, Vera Flick and Martha Rosequist. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Sally Watt Fitzgerald; one son Randy Fitzgerald (wife Kay) and one daughter, Susan Presti (husband Jack); four grandchildren, Marah, Nicholas, Anthony and Nicole; one great granddaughter, Emily Jane DeBord; three nephews, Stanley, Darrell and Rick Blakeslee. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home & Crematory, 4216 Sterrettania Road on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. and are invited to attend a Funeral Service there on Friday at 10 a.m., conducted by Rev. Ronald J. Geisler of Christ United Methodist Church. Private interment, Laurel Hill Cemetery.
