Obituary of Douglas McGahen

Douglas "Doug" H. McGahen, age 63, of Erie, passed away unexpectedly at UPMC-Hamot on Friday, November 14, 2014. He was born in Union City on July 19, 1951, the son of Ruth McGahen of Edinboro and the late Robert D. McGahen. He was a 1969 graduate of General McLane High School. He was employed at GE, Pro Realtors and was owner and operator of Bay City Services. He was a member of First Assembly of God and enjoyed gardening and his dogs. Besides his father he was preceded in death by one sister, Connie, and one sister-in-law, Cinda McGahen. Doug is survived by his loving partner, Susan Carl, two step-sons; Charles Keiper of Miss., Andrew Keiper (Brandy) of Albion, four brothers: Ronald (Dee Ann), Donald, Robert Scott (Deborah), John (Deborah), six grandchildren: Tyler Michael, Tyler James, Breanna, Mercedes, Alexis, and Amanda Hannold, three great grandchildren, three nieces, three nephews, and one great nephew. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Tuesday, November 18, from 4 p.m. until time of service there at 8:00 p.m. Private interment. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the ANNA Shelter, 1555 East 10th Street, Erie, PA 16511.
