A lifetime resident of Erie, Chris was a creative genius when it involved electronics. This was espoused many times by the people he worked with, and for, over the years. Among his many accomplishments, he owned and operated Kitty Hawk Bicycle Shop on North Park Row in the 1970s, worked as the telecommunications director for the City of Erie Police Radio Division, as well as, the same for Emergycare Ambulance Service, the Erie County Medical Communications Center, and subsequently, the Coordinator for the Erie County 911 Center, designing and engineering the original countywide 911 network. Chris was devoted to nature, enjoying every leisure moment camping, canoeing, and the outdoors in general. Well known for his open arms and open home, he welcomed many friends to "Camp Campbell" for either a short visit or longer stay. For many years, Chris had his tent set up at various music festivals and camping outings. He will be sadly missed by family, his many friends, and anyone who had the pleasure of his company.
