Obituary of Barbara Hogan

Barbara A. Brown Hogan, age 71, of Millcreek Twp., suddenly passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at UPMC-Hamot surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 4, 1943, in Erie, the daughter of the late James F. and Ann Symoski Brown. Barbara was a graduate of Academy H.S. and continued to enjoy lunches with her school friends from her graduation class. She loved traveling, listening to polka bands, and spending time with her close friends and family. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, David Hogan. She is survived by three daughters: Joanne E. Gregory (Brad) of Summit Twp., Susan C. Sturgeon (Barry) of Millcreek Twp., Leslie A. Soltis (Bob) of Albion, one sister, Linda Patterson (Mike) of KY, seven grandchildren: Dan and Tim Palmer, Michael, Laura, and James Gregory, Gina and Mitchell Sturgeon, four great-grandchildren, and her beautiful cat, Angel. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and are invited there on Monday at 11:00 a.m. for the Funeral Service.
