Obituary of Betty Hornaman

Betty M. Aruwsiewicz Hornaman, age 97, went home to be with the Lord on December 17, 2014 peacefully in her sleep at Pleasant Ridge Manor-West. Betty was a special lady and loved everyone; especially animals. She was born in Erie, PA on August 7, 1917, the daughter of the late Joseph and Magdalena Aruwsiewicz. She was the youngest of nine children who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Howard Hornaman and her second husband, Stanley Sczmanowski. Betty is survived by two sons; William Hornaman (Carol) of Girard, Tom Hornaman of Stuart, FL, two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Private services were held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements were handled by the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. Special thanks to her care givers at Pleasant Ridge Manor-West. Memorial contributions may be made to the ANNA SHELTER, 1555 East 10th Street, Erie, PA 16511.
