Obituary of Forrest Walters

Forrest Walters was born on June 22, 1933 and was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 11, 2015 following a brief illness. He was the son of the late Hollace and Bernice (Veight) Walters. He was a graduate of Millcreek H.S. and the University of Pittsburgh. For a brief time he was an accountant in Latrobe, PA and then GE followed by employment at Waddell & Reed. He had an eclectic personality and shared his knowledge with family and friends and would help anyone. He was loved by all. He was an avid WWII buff. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Blair Walters. Forrest is survived by one son, Scott Walters (Karen), two daughters; Carrie Walters, Laurie Strumila (Joe), one sister, Alice Blair, one brother, Russell Walters, grandchildren: Keith, Janelle, Ian, and Sean Walters, and Steven and Frank Strumila, several nieces, nephews, close friends: Robert and Rose Vogel, Karl Poland, and Jerry Barlow. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited there on Thursday for the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Interment Lakeside Cemetery.
