John F. "Jack" Neuer, age 84, of Millcreek Twp., passed away peacefully Monday, January 12, 2015 at St. Marys East.
He was born in Erie on June 20, 1930, the son of the late John James and Irene Hess Neuer. John served in the US Navy.
John was self- employed as an optometrist for 37 years. He was a member of St. Jude R.C. Church and the NW Optometric Assn. He enjoyed computers and photography. John is survived by one sister, Mary Thompson of Erie, one brother Richard J. Neuer, OD of Millcreek Twp.
Friends may attend a Funeral Mass at St. Jude R.C. Church, 2801 West 6th Street, Erie, PA 16505 on Thursday at 12:00 Noon. Entombment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Second Harvest Food Bank, 1507 Grimm Drive, Erie, PA 16501.
