Obituary of Jennifer Emerick

Jennifer Ruff Emerick, age 70, of Erie, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 after an extended battle with cancer surrounded by her loving family. Jennifer was born in Erie on November 6, 1944 the daughter of the late Edward L. and Helen Johnson Ruff. She was a long-time employee of Loblaws Grocery and went on to Wegmans where she was employed for over twenty three years. Jennifer loved to travel, bowl, play cards and spend time with her family and wonderful friends. Jennifer was preceded in death by sisters; Janice Ruff Stover (James), Barbara "Bobbi" Ruff, sister-in-law Jackie Ruff and brother-in-law Phil Vannucci. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Richard Emerick, her only daughter Sherri Polanski (Thomas) of Millcreek, two grandchildren; Zachary and Raychel Polanski, sisters; Lynette Vannucci, Karen Gaspard, Bonnie Ruff, Gail Cilladi (Lou), brothers; James Ruff, Sr., Raymond Ruff (companion, Sally), Edward Ruff (Sue), brother-in-law, Ken Emerick, three step children, seven step-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania RD. on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited there on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. for the funeral service.
