Obituary of Shirley Winders

Shirley Irene Sipple Winders, age 80, of Erie, passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Millcreek Manor. She was born in Erie on January 6, 1935, the daughter of the late Henry and Gladys Hill Sipple.
She was employed at Metro Hospital and enjoyed softball, bowling, porch sitting and enjoying the neighborhood.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ernest Winders, whom she married in August, 1954, and passed away Feb. 6, 2006 and also one daughter, Marsha Walmsley, who passed away on June 23, 2012.
Shirley is survived by two sisters; Mary Alice Miller of Lakeland, FL, Donna O'Shaughnessy of Titusville, two daughters; Helen Fields (Chet), Sharon Kinsel (Ed), and one son, George Winders, all of Erie. Also surviving are six grandchildren: Matt King, Marlena Winders, Michael Walmsley, Anna Gomez, Michael Winders, Jason Kinsel, six great grandchildren: Matt, Jr., Tianna, Lorenzo, Ethan, Alivia, and Dominic.
Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Saturday from 4 until 7 p.m. Private services and interment at the convenience of the family.
