Obituary of Dorothy Tirpak

Dorothy LeNoir Gray Boyd Tirpak passed away after a brief illness on Friday, January 23, 2015. She was born on November 14, 1933, the daughter of the late Robert Allen Gray, Sr. and Dorothy May King Gray. Dorothy was a 1951 graduate of Strong Vincent H.S. where she spearheaded all the 1951 class reunion committees. She was employed many years in local stock brokerage houses. After retirement, she moved to Waxahachie, TX and worked in the office of South Western Assembly of God College for 3 and a half years. Upon returning to Erie, she again worked for the stock brokers of First Discount Brokerage, until her retirement at 73. Dorothy loved the Hallmark Stores. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her second husband, James S. Tirpak, and three brothers: Robert Allen Gray, Jr., David Edward Gray, and Ronald Morton Gray. She is survived by three sons: Gregg Allen Boyd (Maraget "Peggy"), Mark Richard Boyd (Ruby), Douglas Boyd III (Mary), three grandchildren: the love of her life, Ashley Nicole Boyd, Stephen H. Boyd, USAF, and Viktoria Boyd Colon (Lemuel), and their children: Douglas, David, Christian, Abby, and Mateo. Also surviving is one sister-in-law, LaRue D. Gray and her four children: Robert, Cheryl, Kevin, and Susan, one niece, Debbie Gray Cyparski and former husband, Douglas Boyd, Jr. Dorothy will be missed by her friends, who have been many. There will be no public viewing and private burial at the convenience of the family. Interment Laurel Hill Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd.
