Obituary of Elizabeth Alstadt

Elizabeth "Betty" Panitzke Carlucci Alstadt, age 88, of Millcreek Twp., went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 1, 2015. She was born in Erie on February 27, 1926, daughter of the late Herman and Elizabeth Williams Panitzke. Elizabeth was an active member of Grace Church since 1982. She worked in various jobs over the years, but most enjoyed being a home-health aide with the VNA, and a homemaker for her family. Elizabeth was a devoted mother and grandmother, and a woman of strong faith. She was active in her church prayer group. Elizabeth was a gifted writer; enjoyed writing prose, and was published through Gannon's Writing Program. Elizabeth was known for her unconditional love for people, many of whom opened their hearts to her. She also loved God's little creatures, great and small. Elizabeth is survived by her beloved husband, Willis Alstadt, to whom she was married 39 years; three sons, William, Paul (Carol), and Jeffrey Carlucci; two daughters, Nancy Carlucci and Patricia Territo (Albert); two grandsons, Stephen and Jonathan Carlucci; two step-sons, Lynn (Nancy) and Randy (Barbara) Alstadt; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers: Robert and Karl Panitzke, and John "Jack" Tabb. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Friday from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Further visitation will be held on Saturday at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. conducted by the Rev. Richard Page. Private interment Erie Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice or a no-kill animal shelter of one's choice.
