Susan E. Yankosky Wheeler, age 64, of Erie, passed away Sunday, February 1, 2015 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Erie on April 10, 1950, the daughter of the late Thomas and Ava Hodges Yankosky. She had been employed at Wal Mart, Blair, Sunburst, the Chamber of Commerce, and Plastek. She was a member of Wayne Park Baptist Church and enjoyed reading, gardening, crocheting, and thrifty shopping. She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Joseph M. Wheeler, her children; Joseph M. Wheeler, Jr., David J. Wheeler, and Christina Laboda, one sister, Star Chase (Michael), two brothers; Timothy (Cheryl) and John Yankosky, seven grandchildren: Keith Wheeler, Tyler Wheeler, Alyssa Wheeler, Bethany Wheeler, Sammantha McNabb, Randy Furry, and Justin Wheeler. She was preceded in death by two brothers; Thomas D. Yankosky, Jr. and David Yankosky and one sister, Joyce (Yankosky) Tucholski.
Friends may attend a Memorial Service at Wayne Park Baptist Church, 923 East 6th Street, Erie, PA 16507 on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 12:00 Noon. Private interment. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd., Erie, PA 16506.
