Obituary of Daryl Ellsworth

Daryl Gene Ellsworth, age 85, of Millcreek Twp., passed away Thursday, February 5, 2015 at St. Vincent Hospital. He was born on February 20, 1929 in Villa, OH, the son of the late Harry S. and Della M. Circle Ellsworth. He received his Bachelor's Degree from Wittenberg College and a Master's Degree from the University of Toledo. He retired as a librarian from Warren State Hospital and served twenty years in the Navy Reserves, retiring as a Lt. Commander. Daryl was a former member of the Presque Isle Chorale, Christ United Methodist Church and its choir, a member of PARSE, American Legion Post # 381, and the Military Officers Association. He was preceded in death by one brother, Don Ellsworth. He is survived by his wife Linda G. Story Ellsworth, whom he married on June 17, 1995. He is also survived by one brother, Dale Ellsworth of Springfield, OH, four children: John Eric, Thomas Gregory, Diane Kay, and James Andrew, three step children; Richelle Duran, Nora Halliday, and Ronald Dutcher II, four grandchildren: Debra, Keaton, Audrey, and Samantha, two great grandchildren, ten step grandchildren, seven step great- grandchildren, and two nieces. Friends may call at Christ United Methodist Church, 2615 West 32nd Street, Erie, PA 16506 on Monday, February 9, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service there at 11:00 a.m. Military interment Laurel Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christ United Methodist Church. Arrangements are being handled by the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd.
