Obituary of William Singleton

William "Bill" P. Singleton, age 83, of Summit Twp., passed away Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Park Ave. Rehab. in Meadville. He was born on June 23, 1931 in Seward, PA, the son of the late Paul and Hazel Rainey Singleton. Bill served in the PA National Guard 112th Infantry, Erie, PA. He was an operating engineer for Local 66. He was a member of Grace Church, the Good Fellows Bowling League, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn M. Bloom Singleton in 2011, one son Richard D. Singleton, one sister Betty Mae Spade, and four brothers: Edward Singleton, Marvin Dean Singleton, Leroy Singleton, and Herb Rainey. He is survived by one daughter, Beverly A. Singleton Graves (Kenneth) of Spartansburg, PA, two sons; John W. (Donna) Singleton of Saegertown, Edward D. (Melissa) Singleton of Erie, six grandchildren: Peggy Case (Tim), Robin Nicholas (Steve), John W. Singleton, Jr. (Colleen), Kerri A. Singleton, Gregory D. Singleton (Ann), Candice K. Singleton, twelve great-grandchildren, one great-great grandson, and several step and step great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Wednesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited there on Thursday for the Funeral Service at 10:00 a.m. Interment Watts Cemetery, Clearfield Co.
