Lori Ann Heilmann Gardner, age 51, of Erie, is now at peace with her Lord and Savior. She passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2015 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 9, 1963 in Erie, the daughter of Sarah Vollmer Heilmann of Millcreek Twp. and the late Richard Heilmann. Lori graduated from McDowell H.S. in 1981 and was a graduate of the nursing program at The Columbus School of Nursing. She was a personal care attendant after retiring from a twenty year career as a nurse. She attended St. Paul's Lutheran Church and was a former member of the Erie Runners Club. She enjoyed reading and watching Presque Isle Sunsets. Besides her mother, Lori is survived by her loving husband Wayne R. Gardner, one brother Richard Heilmann (Cecilia) and their son Will of Houston, TX, In-laws, Jim and Noni Gardner of Millcreek Twp. and the In-laws she chose as siblings: Kathy Masters (David), Deb Mager (John), Dale Gardner (Kim), Cher Pacak (Eugene), Connie Hornyak (Ron), Noreen Ciano (John) and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and are invited on Thursday to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 3108 Sterrettania Rd. from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Private interment. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
