Obituary of Mary Metalonis

Mary Jane Riddle Metalonis, age 97, passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at Pleasant Ridge Manor-West. She was born in Dubois, PA on November 15, 1917, the daughter of the late William L. and Marie P. Riddle.
She was a 1935 graduate of Academy H.S. She was a member of Holy Rosary R.C. Church and Emmanuel Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed knitting, word puzzles and reading.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert B. Metalonis, one son George Metalonis, and one granddaughter, Lindsay Moore.
She is survived by her children; Evelyn "Lynn" Metalonis of Erie, John Metalonis (Lori) of Erie Mary Jane "Janie" Hoody (John) of Linden, VA, her grandchildren: Damian Lapinsky, Timothy Moore, Matthew Raun, Katelyn Raun, and Sydney Hoody.
Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. Private services and inurnment at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Assoc. of NW PA, 1128 State Street, Suite 301, Erie, PA 16501 or to the Friends of Pleasant Ridge Manor-West, 8300 West Ridge Rd., Girard, PA 16417.
