Lauren, I'm so happy you know what the Bible says about Gods purpose for mankind. Most are taught that death was a part of His plan but Genesis 3:22 shows that Adam and Eve were meant to live forever on earth with no sickness, no death, and peace with the whole family of mankind worldwide all serving God! Being such a loving God, he has allowed this misery and death to exist to prove that we cannot rule ourselves. We are in those "last days" when this will be complete! Gods original purpose will be restored! Psalms 37:29 says that the righteous will live on the earth forever! In good conditions with mankind at peace and the curse of old age and sin and death gone forever. Don will get to see this here on earth and he will LOVE it here. At John 5:28,29 Jesus speaks of those coming out of of the memorial tombs to a resurrection of life to the earth just as Jesus resurrected his friend Lazurus! I and many others can't wait to see Don again and welcome him back! Meanwhile embrace the love and comfort from all your friends that God provides you! Love you ❤️ Jw.org Shellye

Lauren, I am so sorry for your loss. Even though I did not know Don very well, you too seemed to be so happy. I know it is a huge shock since it happened so fast. I did not know he was ill.
