Theresa and Family,
Please know we are thinking of you during this very difficult time and sending our heartfelt condolences. What a beautiful tribute your family shared about Mike. I can imagine the smile on his face knowing how much he meant to his family. While thinking of a memory to share about Mike, I could not think of a time when he wasn’t part of the Simon family, the good times and the difficult times. Our families have shared a lifetime of memories together...infinite fishing adventures, birthdays, picnics, holidays, weddings, graduations, football games, and vacations. But, the memory that stands out the most is the lifetime friendship that Mike and my dad shared. Mike and Spence...always together; always planning the next fishing trip, always there for each other; whether it was a hand reeling in “The Big One” or a hand to help each other out. Mike and my dad have been an example of what a true friendship is. I know my parents cherish their friendship with Mike and Theresa and it will be difficult to imagine life without their dear friend Mike alongside them. I am so thankful that Mike and dad recently got to spend time fishing together in Florida. We are very grateful to have had Mike in our lives and our memories will keep him with us always. While we can’t be there, our hearts are with you. My hope and prayer is that we will all be able to celebrate Mike’s life with a huge fish fry soon! The Prathers will always think of Mike when we wave our Raider flag. Go Silver and Black!
Mike will be greatly missed. Rest in Peace.
