Goodbye old friend. Met you way back when. I was sittn with my friend Tippy at his bar one afternoon when, he told me ,asked me, if i could help him with a problem. (Sherlocks/Park Place). He said he noticed that whenever i came in and was at the pool table, i seem to stay on it till i was ready to leave, and he said further that he's been co-sponsoring a downtown pool league and hosting the yr's end tourney and his team ,just sucks. And could i get a team together. Already played in another league but said sure, and reached out to Brett and some of his pool buddies and we put together a winning team . Okay, we may have cheated, sorta, slightly, some. Like having a empty 5th of premium vodka stashed at the bar, filled with WATER, and every time a player on our team was shooting a ball that the rest of the guys thought was wrong, we got called to the bar for a team shot, where Brett or Russ, laughingly would say to shoot something else other than what i was lining up, instead,...Sometimes the other teams would try to keep up drinking a round but their shots weren't water. We had 3 fun seasons playing together. Drinking together, and party'n together. I seem to remember practicing, partying, all night before the end yr tourny in Brett's bsmt pool room (with a fire in the fireplace of course, and we went from there in the morning to grocery then tourney and we were drinkn (at store, bought v8 spicy, and oj with pulp)bloody marys and screwdrivers while every other team was milking coffee and hot teas. Them wimps. Damn, we laughed a lot together. Gonna miss you Brett, But i too have the cancer, so rack em up ,up there, i will be along shortly....
