Brett Michael McQuaid
We are sad to announce the passing of Brett Michael McQuaid, aged 64, of Erie Pennsylvania, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2024. Brett passed surrounded by his loving family. He spent most of his life in Erie, although in his twenties he traveled the country learning his trade. He graduated from McDowell High School.
Brett had been self-employed for nearly 40 years, as an electrical contractor. He was a respected business owner and helped build/upgrade and repair many industrial, commercial, and residential properties in Erie and surrounding communities as founder & president of B&M Electric. He was active in his community as a member of the Independent Electrical Contractors Association, American Legion, Sportsman Club, Valley 8 Ball Billiards, and the Builders Association of Erie County.
Brett had a skill to excel in all of his interest. He was an amazing billiard player and won many state titles, and was known as the Millcreek Monster. He was an avid hunter and an excellent shot. He loved sharing the hunting experience with his sons and grandsons. He was a passionate and seasoned outdoorsman. His outdoor experiences/adventures were unmatched. He was always prepared to tackle any obstacles mother nature would throw at him. His favorite type of camping was what he called ‘primitive camping’ which was in the deep woods far from society with no facilities. Later in life he began golfing and became a very skilled golfer. He achieved a hole in one which impressed many and is a treasured memory. He enjoyed playing darts and watching sports. Most importantly, he enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandchildren.
