Pumma truly lived life to the fullest: doing what she wanted, sticking to her beliefs, and never taking no for an answer. If you are lucky enough to have had the chance to listen to her stories, you know just how fascinating and, at times, unbelievable Pumma's life was.
Pumma was a storyteller through and through. I could sit and listen to her all day. Her stories were not only incredible, but often came with some kind of wisdom attached to them.
She talked me through so many problems I've faced, big or small; always having an anecdote that somehow corresponded perfectly. Her voice always so calming and assuring.
I remember when I failed my driver's test the first time I took it and thought it was the end of the world. Pumma talked me out of the negativity through one of her stories about racing cars. I took the test in Salem, NJ, which is supposed to be a very "easy" test center. "Salem they don't fail 'em!" After Pumma calmed me down, she joked, "Well, I guess you broke the mold then." She always turned a bad situation into a good one and never ceased to make me laugh.
Her stories and positivity impacted everyone who heard them. And while I'll miss hearing them directly from her, I'm just so thankful that, for some time, I got to be a listener.

I didn't get the opportunity to know Pumma very long. Definitely my loss! She made me feel like a member of the family right away. I reflect back on a car ride with Josie through the Hollywood Hills and she was sharing with me all about her fabulous grandmother and how I was going to really hit it off with her. Boy was Josie right.
Being around Pumma was like a fast car ride of adventure stories, which is also one of her famous stories! She never tired of filling us with her outrageous life adventures. I couldn't wait to hear which one was next. Her life is a true testament to surviving and thriving as she built this amazing family that surrounded her. Probably my favorite was her talking about the Grand Canyon when she heard I was leaving after Thanksgiving to hike to the bottom.
"You know where we take the people..... The Grand Canyon and Harrison is the getaway driver because he has a clean record!"
Thank you Pumma for sharing your light with me!

My Pumma, what a life well lived! I'm so blessed that I was able to have the time I did with you. I have so many fun wonderful memories!
Flying over the railroad tracks at 60mph and going airborne
Eating Ho-Ho's and chocolate milk for breakfast
Eating Hanks on a warm summer evening
Riding the pontoon boat in the evening watching the lights from around the lake
Being attacked by a zombie on your birthday
Letting you drive one last time before you hung up your license
Margaritas with extra salt
Driving me to the hospital when I was in labor and hitting every pothole
Lilly Dale days
Cape May diamonds and dolphins
"Change your way of thinking and you will change your life"
I love you forever Pumma. Thank you for every gift you've taught me to open.

My Guardian Angel.
My Best Friend.
My Confidant.
My Grandmother.
My Pumma.
We shared every secret, every story, every joke. You are my favorite Spirit ever. I only hope when I return to Cape May, you find a way to haunt me!
You didn't start anything, but always finished it. You finished your life living it the best possible way.
You prepared me for this time, but it doesn't make it hurt less.
Your words of wisdom will always be in my heart.
*We are all energy.
*Feet don't fail me now.
*You are right where you are supposed to be. But if you don't like it, you are not a tree, pick up your feet and make a hard left.
*Ask if "is this is for my highest and my best?"
*Always ask in prayer and be thankful in prayer.
*Trust your Angels.
I can't wait to see what you come back as this time. Hopefully not an Amoeba on the side of a rocket ship coming back to Earth- been there, done that!
But for now, I'll rest with a peaceful heart knowing that while you can't be my guardian angel on Earth any more, you will always be with me.
Here's to all the margaritas we drank together and special laughs we always shared. Thank you for the unconditional love you gave me and taught me about.
Love your Favorite of all, Jenna.

I met Pumma in 1994 when I was a nanny for Jacquelyn and Josie. I moved across the country and found another family to love and have them love me in return. I loved when Pumma would visit and would share her stories and wisdom with me. I can still her infectious laugh and her softly saying “relax, relax, relax”. I will be forever grateful that Pumma and her family loved me as their own. Love you all,

When I met Pumma about 7 years ago, she told me some of the amazing stories about her life, including her time working as a cryptologist for the Army Security Agency in Germany. I remember telling my then boyfriend (now husband) on the way home that her life story would make for a riveting book, especially considering that those opportunities weren’t all that common for women back in the early 50s. She and Cam and Rob had known my husband for many years before I met him, and Pumma told me that he was a runner like she had been, meaning that it wasn’t easy for him to commit and settle down. But her husband had changed that for her and she could tell I was the one to do that for Andy. Hearing this from that wise, sweet woman who knew Andy so well reinforced my confidence that my instincts about him were right. Pumma’s life story was one full of adventures and achievements to be proud of, but the best chapters, those written by her love for her family and friends, are the ones that ensure her light lives on.

I have so many wonderful memories of spending time with Pumma, it’s hard to pick a favorite. But our trips to Longwood Gardens are definitely at the top of the list. She and I would walk around enjoying the beautiful flowers and bonsai trees and then have lunch together. Pumma also made every Easter and Thanksgiving celebration special. She would put up with the endless arguing between Rob and me over which one of us she loved more. Of course, we knew she loved the girls the most.

I will always remember my Aunt Phyllis for how kind and loving she was. I’m thankful for all the memories she shared with me about my Dad (her brother Joe) and growing up “Clairmont”. I will always remember the summer of 1964 spent with Aunt Phyllis, Uncle Alan, Karen, Cammy & Joal….the fun jar, Hanks Custard, Lake Pymatuning, horseback riding, Conneaut Lake amusement park, Derek, Massachusetts and the first time I saw the ocean! Thank you for the memories that are still so vivid to me. Rest in peace Aunt Phyllis, you deserve it. I love you.

We’ve always said my Pumma like it was clearly an English word substitute for Grandma. She was the Grandmother fairy from Fern Gully in my eyes.
Pumma is a made up word, because there is not one word in this world to describe her. She was Pumma. Once she even had a Pumpa and Pumpa just like the rest of us who loved her, had his very own Pumma too.
My favorite memories of Pumma are when we would watch all the cartoon movie classics at her house like Raggedy Ann, Disney movies, anime movies before I knew they were anime like little Nemo and HowI’s moving castle.. I’d drink strawberry milk and snuggle her. She’d Take us to foot long eddies and hanks ice cream.
My favorite funny memory is when she was starving for a week and thought her measuring cups shrank because her eye sight was going and she was using half cup thinking it was a whole cup of food. We couldn’t stop laughing that day about it.
I’ve always thought my family is comparable to a mother spider watching her millions of baby spiders throughout the generations float off to their own destinies in life knowing she did that and knowing how proud she is of every one of them. She was a force of nature. I miss her and I am glad to have so many memories of her. I’m grateful my son got to meet her as well. There’s nobody like her and she loved us all as much as we loved her.

A few beautiful memories come to mind when I think of Pumma. I remember her brushing our hair while watching movies, swimming together in the heated pool in Haddon Heights, and trips to Olive Garden for soup & salad (with a pasta on the side)! One time my mother came home and said “I brought Pumma here to hypnotize you before your swim race!” And Pumma did - though it was more like a meditative relaxation session of visualizing than it was a hypnosis that you see in the movies (thankfully). Pumma’s beautiful soul will live on through us forever, may such a sweet and nurturing spirit rest in peace. We love you, Pumma!

Pumma was the person who no matter what Calmed your mind, soul, and spirit. She would hold your hand and tell you stories of her adventures. She taught you lessons you didn't even realize you were learning. When I was pregnant with jayda, pumma took me shopping and the one thing she bought all the kids was a baby monkey plushie. I had the best time walking around with her and talking and laughing. She always knew exactly how to make someone feel special. She always made you want to be the best version of yourself. I will miss you forever even tho you are right beside us. I love you pumma. Love with all our hearts, always and forever Ashley, trae, jayda, kiki, and anna. ❤

We called her pumma because my sister couldn’t say grandma, so she became our pumma. I have a lifetime of memories with her, and these are some of my favorites.
1. She used to take us to swim lessons early in the morning but we were always running late so she would buy me and my sister chocolate milk and ho-hos for breakfast from the little gas station on the way.
2. One time coming back from the airport, she was driving and we were singing our hearts out to a song on the radio. She didn’t slow down for the railroad tracks and her little ford went airborne for a whole few minutes. We laughed and laughed and swore not to tell anyone.
3. When I was in labor with my daughter she drove me and my husband to the hospital because we couldn’t get our car to start. She tried to drive slow, but instead hit every single pothole on the way there. We’re pretty certain it helped bring Lizzie into the world.
4. Getting attacked by a zombie in cape may for her birthday. Rawr-rawr
5. Drinking margaritas with extra salt
6. Singing Passover songs at the top
Of our lungs and royally messing up the lyrics. Laughing until our cheeks hurt.
7. Riding the pontoon boat in the evenings looking at all the homes lit up around the lake.
8. Letting you drive my car one last time before you hung your license up for good.
9. Head scritches
10. Pumma hugs.

Be the awesome matriarch. Most important be the loving mom, wife, friend, Pumma and kind person always for everyone. She is loved by all who know her and missed by many more. My grandmother Pumma would sit with me and hold my hand in her own soft silky ones while telling me life stories. She would never hold back and would always say it exactly how she wanted to. I would never get tired of hearing her stories about growing up and all her accomplishments. But she would always say how we were her biggest accomplishment in life. My memories of us going to her house in Conneaut Lake, walking up her steps past the art on the walls, and going into her second level living area are special. She had a desk right by the door in her upstairs living room and she would always have cow tails or whatchamacalit candy bars on it. It was a constant and safe feeling being around her. I will cherish her forever and keep her alive in the stories I tell my children about the amazing woman that started it all.

I have been blessed with a lifetime of memories with my beloved Mother-in- Law.
None was more impactful than the first time I met her.
In the summer of 1993, I planned a trip to Conneaut Lake to ask for Camille's hand in marriage. We somehow kept the trip secret from Camille. I flew into Buffalo and a car service took me to what was then the Country Fair Convenience Store, not far from Camille's childhood home.
It was a bit after midnight, and I was, to put it mildly, nervous beyond belief.
We let my future Mother-in-Law in on the secret--and she selflessly agreed to pick me up to take me to their home.
Waiting for me in the winery van was Phyllis M. Wolf, "Pumma."
As I approached her van door, I was baffled as to exactly what to say.
But I didn't have to worry.
The door swung open, and out popped an Angel on Earth, smiling broadly and embracing me with the warmest hug possible.
"Hello, Sweetheart," she said.
I have loved her from that moment on and will for all eternity.
Happily, both Pumma and Camille's Dad said "yes" to the question I came to ask them on that trip. I am blessed to be a part of the beautiful family they have built.
I have learned to "take the best" and "leave the rest."
I love you eternally, Pumma.

Phyllis M. Wolf was a women who endlessly impressed me. I loved sitting with her listening to stories of her past adventures or sharing sassy looks from across the room. I can see her in all the Andrews women, who she loved but not as much as, when her eyes would light up when she got a glimpse of Robert. She was turley women that could do anything...not just anything....but everything the boys were doing. And she would surpass them. I feel like I was lucky to have meet her and will always thank her for leading me to the man I love. Her visions were truly out of this world and if she said not to worry about something, good was coming, you could actually believe her. Though she is gone her stories and presence will there fade.
