Joseph Charles Wilkins

Joseph Charles Wilkins, age 74, of McKean Twp., passed away on Friday, August 23, 2024 at the VA Community Living Center after an extended illness. He was born on December 25, 1949 in Union City, PA, the son of the late Charles W. and Leona P. Sharp Wilkins. Joe served in the US Navy Seabees.

He had been employed at UPMC-Hamot for 32 years. He was a member of Grace Church and enjoyed the outdoors and fishing.

He is survived by his beloved wife Karen S. Smith Wilkins, his children; Kari Katreeb of Eighty Four, PA, Kristi Park of the Woodlands, TX, Katie Wherry of Washington, PA, one sister Betty Law, two brothers; Dennis Wilkins (Michelle) and Duane Wilkins (Donna) eight grandchildren: Kyle, Jordan, Shannon, and Caleb Katreeb, Brayden and Riley Park, and Madisyn and Levi Wherry.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one son Joe D. Wilkins.

Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Friday, August 30, 2024 from 4 pm until 7 pm and are invited to Grace Church, 7300 Grubb Rd., McKean, PA on Saturday, August 31, 2024, from 10 am until the time of the Funeral Service at 11 am. Interment Laurel Hill Cemetery.
